WhistlePig Estate Oak Rye 15 Year 750ml

WhistlePig Estate Oak Rye 15 Year is: 100% rye mash whiskey debuted in May 2016 and is the oldest expression to date in WhistlePig’s lineup.
Interestingly, their 15-year-old expression has enjoyed a finishing period in Vermont oak barrels which have been given a long toast and heavy char. Due to shorter growing seasons and harsh winters, Vermont oak has a tight grain pattern, which can affect the flavor profile of the whiskey 
It was developed with terroir in mind as the star of this show is the white oak grown on the Vermont distillery’s estate in Shoreham.
